American performer Allison Brooks Janney was born on November 19, 1959. Over the past three decades her work has earned her praise on stage and screen. Janney received numerous awards including her Academy Award and British Academy Film Award. In addition, she was awarded 7 Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney was a native of Dayton, Ohio. She was born in and lived in Boston. Following her graduation of Kenyon College, she received an entire scholarship to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut in 1999 playing C. J. Cregg who played the character in NBC's drama series The West Wing (1999 to the year 2006), where she won four Primetime Emmy Awards. Her role on"Masters of Sex," a Showtime show Masters of Sex, Margaret Scully, Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award 2014 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.
